Fall Colors

I was bound and determined to get my fair share of fall pictures this year and thanks to the help of the Ogden Valley photo workshops I was able to accomplish my goal. My goal for getting those fall shots while hiking in Big Cottonwood canyon will have to be pushed back until next year when I hopefully won't get a monster cold again before the weather cools! My second round of photos were taken at Powder Mountain where the aspens were golden and the weather was perfect.
A little snapshot of my fellow photographers enjoying the aspen grove.
 Looking towards the valley.
Looking towards the Sundowner runs.

This is probably my favorite shot of the day. I learned that in order to get the larger sunbursts you need to set your Aperture to a higher number. I shot this at a f/20 stop.
A glimpse of the homes at Powder Mountain through the aspens.
And here at the end of my post I'm throwing in a quick layout I did based on a sketch by Cathy Zielske. I thought it was the perfect sketch for this picture of Chase.

  1. Joni,
These are so beautiful, I'm so jealous I couldn't make the photo shoot with you.
