I have to admit that I am having a little bit of fun taking a pile of material like this
and turning it into this.
From the beginning steps
to the final details of texture yumminess.
I'm even okay with my husband teasing me that my choice of backing fabric looks like I've reverted back to the Hippie Era. I guess he won't be snuggling under that cozy, soft flannel anytime soon.
I'll admit there's a form of self satisfaction enjoying the warmth of this new hobby.
Hopefully soon, I'll have a stash of seasonal quilts to rotate and enjoy all year long.
I haven't quite mastered my own free motion quilting, but that's up next with my work in process.

New Year, New Challenges
With the New Year comes expectations of setting New Year Resolutions. I've never been a big believer in New Year Resolutions, mostly because you should not need a New Year to make needed changes in your life. This year I've decided to start the year with New Year Challenges instead.
I'm challenging myself to learn how to use my new macro lens.
I'm challenging myself with a Digital Art Journaling class, which has me 100% out of my comfort zone.
