Jessica Sprague Weekly Challenge
This week's challenge was based on a favorite item in our lives, with a few other guidelines to follow for the layout. I really wanted to do a layout of the flower pictures I had recently taken while in Oregon, so I chose my two favorite flowers. Here's my take on the challenge.

Sunrise
When I looked out the window this morning, this is what I saw. The colors were so vibrant, of course I had to go get my camera and take a few pictures. Some days our everyday surroundings go by unnoticed. I'm glad I took the time to enjoy this one!

Quick Road Trip
Quick trivia question, Lesa you better get this one. On our way to Springfield, Oregon we passed these mountain peaks, what are the known as?
Bob & I took a quick road trip to help move his grandparents into assisted living and to bring back some of their prized possessions and memorabilia that they wanted us to have. It was sad to see them leave everything behind and move into the facility. They are 93 & 96 years old, so it really was time, but why does getting old have to be so hard. Grandpa Ken was admitted to the hospital with pneumonia the day we arrived and was still there when we left on his 93rd birthday. Here is a picture of the two little love birds.
Aren't they cute! Still holding hands after all these years. This is not the picture that I had hoped to leave with, but you need to document what you can. We hope he can make a speedy recovery to join Grandma Dolly in their new home.
It was a long weekend and very draining, but I did sneak a few minutes to take a few pictures of my favorite flowers in their condo complex that they left.
Don't you just love Rhododendron's. Here is my all time favorite, the Calla Lilly.
On our return trip home we decided to take another route to see if it was quicker. Well it might have been if we wouldn't have gotten distracted at another beautiful site, Multnomah Falls.
This stop cost us a couple of precious hours on the road but it was well worth it. It was a very stressful weekend for the both of us, but somehow seeing the Oregon scenery along the way tends to lift your spirits.
Tick
Tock
Tick

Is the suspense killing you? Okay the answer is "Sisters." This picture doesn't really do them justice, they are beautiful, as is this whole area. I could live here if it wasn't for the constant rainy season!Bob & I took a quick road trip to help move his grandparents into assisted living and to bring back some of their prized possessions and memorabilia that they wanted us to have. Tribute to Mother's
"The older I become, the more I think about my mother." Ingmar Bergman
I was searching the internet for Mother's Day quotes and this one just stuck with me. The older I am the better friends I become with my mom. How we ever survived beyond my teenage years is a miracle. Don't get me wrong, I think I was a perfect angel, but the previous statement has been drilled into my head by my dad constantly! So, maybe I wasn't the perfect daughter, but now I truly do appreciate my parents.
