Speed Scrap Challenge

Tomorrow is NSD (National Scrapbooking Day) where all sorts of goodies are waiting for me to drop into my online shopping cart, but it also brings some fun challenges to try. So today I decided to place on hold a few things that need my attention and try a speed scrap challenge. The rules of the game are simple, every 10 minutes you are given a requirement that must be in your layout, this challenge had 7 requirements to meet, then you have 1 hour and 15 minutes to complete your layout and get it posted into the gallery. Well if you've ever scrapped with me, you know that I'm truly one of the slowest around. All those decisions of pictures, papers, embellishments, etc., oh the stress! Well I'm proud to say I accomplished this challenge with probably no more than a minute to spare and maybe I could say it was a cardio workout since my heart was pounding so hard. It's amazing how differently all the layouts look given the same 7 requirements to meet. Here's my take on the challenge.

Now I need to get back to my real world that I put on hold and get some things done. Wish me luck as I try to get a new computer to work for my hubby just like his old one did. Computers and my hubby don't seem to mesh very well, so things need to stay the same!

Tractor Bob!

My husband has really pulled through for me this past week, so in appreciation of how wonderful he has been I decided to dedicate this post to him and his latest hobby. It's a little on the picture heavy side, and will probably interest more husbands out there than females, so for all that know Bob pull your husbands in because next time you are at our house I'm sure they'll be hearing his stories, LOL!

This is the first picture of his pride and joy last year when he had it assembled enough to bring home.

Now this picture I'm sure Brigette will be thrilled with, but someone needs to see it before I have to take a new one because Sophie will be in high school before it's printed and in her home (ha!). But the real point to the picture is how the tractor looked before Bob started to tear it apart to restore.

And now here comes the parts and pieces.

Here's a before picture
And an after picture, isn't it nice and shiny! He just loves his new paint booth in the barn (yes, quite the spoiled guy).
He is sure putting his heart and soul into this project and I just know that it will turn out fabulous.

I'm not sure why I just loved this picture, maybe it's the manly, man look of working hard.

I'm sure there will be lots more to share as his project continues on and it's great to see him get back into restoring old things, which is what he loved to do back in the day.

First signs of Spring

It's that time of year again when I head outside to try to gain some type of control over my flower beds. This year it seems like grass is going to be the annoying culprit trying to take over my flower beds, argh! But, with all that work comes the satisfaction of finding this type of rewards.

I'm so indecisive!

Well I hope I made the right decision tonight. I submitted my layouts last night and just had this nagging feeling that I needed to change it up a bit, so after work I came home and started on another layout I had been thinking about today. The pictures I wanted to use are so stinking cute (pat on the back) I just had to do it. If it was the wrong decision, oh well, I really like the way this one turned out. With only 20 minutes to go before the deadline tonight I deleted my layout of Bob and the boys (was that the right choice?) and replaced it with this one.

Jessica Sprague CT Call Entries

Well I finally did it! I submitted my layouts for the Jessica Sprague Creative Team call. I am so out of my comfort zone right now! This is such a great opportunity for all those that are chosen. Who wouldn't want to work with all the amazing people at this site that I have a serious class addiction to. There are so many talented people who have also submitted, close to 150 right now. If you want to have a look at all the amazing work you can find it here; JS Creative Team Call. Here are the layouts I decided to submit.

Pen Tablet Layouts

Here are the layouts I created in my latest class at JessicaSprague.com. This class taught us how to use our Wacom Pen Tablets. It included using our own handwriting which showed up directly on our layouts by using the pen tablet. Now I'm not a big fan of my own handwriting, but it does give your layout a more personalized look. Loved this class!

Spring Photo Shoot

I just love to take pictures of my niece's (Shannon) daughter. Most shoots go pretty smooth, but she has now discovered she can escape the scene on her own and she decided she just didn't want to cooperate much this day. Surprisingly I was able to get some good shots, here are some of my favorites.

Greetings!

Hello out there! I've now become an official blogger. I've debated whether I wanted a blog to share my digi world with others, but the requirements for a CT call at Jessica Sprague gave me the final push into this blogging world. More to come, once I figure this out!
